I have traveled to many countries at this point (I believe I am up to over 25) and I have learned some important lessons along the way. Sometimes I have learned these lessons the hard way and sometimes I have learned these lessons by necessity or accident. I also tend to travel solo so this means I learn most of these lessons on my own as well.
Rather than keep some of these important lessons learned to myself I decided to create "Problem-Solving Travel Tips", or hashtag #PSTT, to share with everyone to assist others in maybe not having to learn the hard way some of the lessons I have had to learn and also to help people be prepared for some of the things they may encounter when they go abroad. Many times people think that when they go abroad everything will be just like it is here in the U.S. I hate to tell you that that is not the case, even when you go to Europe.
These tips are not to make you overly cautious or force you to pack the kitchen sink but, to get you to start thinking about some of the differences you might encounter while you are abroad and what you need to think about and prepare for.
I will be posting most of these tips on my Twitter and Facebook accounts so I highly recommend that you follow me there. I will also try to categorize some and post them here.
If you have any great tips please feel free to email me or post a comment below.
