I got WeChat to contact with some internationals from China or Malaysia. Since Eau Claire has a huge population of students from those two countries, and my Chinese friends don't use Facebook as much as American students and international students from other countries, most Chinese or Chinese Malaysian have this app. It's more convenient than other apps when I want to contact with friends from those two countries. Also, it has a very interesting system which allows us to send a voice text. It's even easier to send it than to type words and send a message. I just need to hold the button and speak, and when you are done with speaking words, you can just release the button. Then, you're all set! Also, it's like Facebook, so we can share daily pictures and thoughts as well. It's a messenger-based social networking app!
